Fettucini Bolognese ($9)

3T Olive oil
2T Butter
1 Carrot
1 Onion
1 Stalk of celery
1/2 pound of ground beef
1/4 cup any kind of tomato sauce

Heat the butter and oil over medium-low heat in a large saucepan.
Chop the vegetables (real small if you have kids or a boyfriend who doesn't eat his veggies)
Add the beef , mix it together, and let the veggies soften. Salt and pepper to taste.

Add the sauce, and turn down the heat to a simmer, let it sit there, covered, for like an hour.

Cook the fettucine according to the box instructions. Mix with the sauce, and serve.
